Are you the indiviudal we are looking for? Hubbard Hill is searching for a humble, self-motivating, reliable laundry attendant to support the functions of our establishment who is positive and flexible. This is an evening position working approximately 3pm top 11pm Monday-Friday with a weekend rotation. The laundry attendant's responsibilities include cleaning, pressing, and folding clothes and other textile articles. You should also be able to keep a record of which items belong to whom.

The duties of the Laundry Aide shall be to ensure facility linen and residents’ personal clothing are properly collected, sorted, laundered, distributed and/or stored according to facility policy. The person holding this position is delegated the responsibility for carrying out the assigned duties and responsibilities in accordance with current existing federal and state regulations and established company policies and procedures.

Duties/Responsibilities:

• Carries out and follows all facility policies and procedures.
• Handles all laundry in accordance with sanitary guidelines.
• Sorts all soiled laundry into appropriate categories. Lifts and carries loads of laundry to and from cleaning equipment.
• Washes, dries, folds and hangs all laundry neatly and properly.
• Identifies personal laundry with resident’s name and re-marks personal clothing items, if needed.
• Returns clean resident laundry to appropriate rooms and supply areas.
• Completes all daily assignments to the satisfaction of the supervisor.
• Keeps work area clean and neat and performs cleaning assignments as scheduled or directed.
• Works in cooperation with all other employees of the facility to maintain a clean and sanitary environment for both residents and staff.
• Records daily completed tasks in daily laundry organizer.
• Other duties as assigned by Housekeeping Director

Requirements:

• High school diploma or equivalent is advantageous.
• Prior experience in a similar role is preferable.
• Familiarity with cleaning detergents and laundering equipment.
• Ability to stand for long periods.
• Capacity to lift up to 20 pounds unaided.
• Basic arithmetic skills.
• Outstanding organizational and time management skills.
• Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Personable disposition with a knack for customer service.
• Available to work shifts and on weekends.
