Responsibilities:

• Reading, understanding, and interpreting technical drawings and blueprints in order to fabricate, assemble, and install sheet metal products.
• Assist with the fabrication, assembly, and instillation of sheet metal products and equipment, such as ducts, control boxes, drainpipes, and furnace casings in new construction
• Measure and mark accurate dimensions and reference lines on material using tools such as scribes, rulers, calculators, and squares
• Use precision to fasten joints and seems in sheet metal with solder, welds caulk, bolts, and metal driver clips to ensure longevity
• Use hand and power tools to trim, buff, file, and grind metal surfaces and joints of parts that have been assembled to guarantee safety and seamless appearance
• Ensure safety is a priority on the job during all activities, including using tools and installing and fabricating metal

Qualifications

Experience Needed.

Requirements:

• High school diploma, GED, or equivalent
• Ability to pass a criminal background check and drug screen
• Ability to perform assigned tasks daily through completion with a strong attention to detail
• Basic computer skills
• Ability to lift heavy materials and tools
• OSHA certification
• Knowledge of building codes
• Ability to read and interpret blueprints (preferred)
• Excellent math skills (preferred)
• 2 years of experience (preferred)
• Apprentice or journeyman license (preferred)

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $17.40 - $23.50 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
