HSM has an opportunity for a Finance Intern to work in the Finance department located at the Corporate office in Hickory, NC.

HSM specializes through its subsidiaries, in the manufacturing of components for furniture, bedding, transportation, packaging, automotive, and healthcare industries. We also design and construct automated production machinery for these industries. We likely have manufactured something you use every day like sofa or bed springs, pool noodles, recliner mechanisms, packaging supplies, fabricated sofa cushions, bus seats, and much more.

Responsibilities

Projects:

• Assisting with creating cycle count warehouse definition
• Support with the analysis and reporting for cycle count accuracy reporting.
• Assist in linking cycle count analysis to the financial dashboard.
• Assist in creating material adjustments reporting.
• Assist in linking material reporting to the financial dashboard
• Assisting with any other tasks or projects assigned by finance managers or supervisors.

Qualifications

• Must have and maintain a 3.0 GPA
• Must be currently enrolled in a full-time degree program or anticipating graduation
• Self-motivated, detail-oriented individual with superior written, verbal and organizational skills
• Excellent computer skills, experience with Microsoft (including Excel) and Adobe a plus
• The ability to work well under pressure and with deadlines
• Analytical and problem-solving skills

(Professionals, Achievements, Results, Knowledge, Synergy) Internship Program provides valuable, meaningful experience while offering the opportunity for career exploration and development. Through interdepartmental team building, lunch and learns, and hands on projects, the PARKS Program offers opportunities to build professional connections while developing essential business acumen. This paid internship is full-time and will last for ten consecutive weeks, beginning on Monday, May 27th and ending Friday, August 2nd.
