HRP Associates, Inc. is Hiring an Environmental Field Technician Near Greenville, SC
- Groundwater, surface water, and other environmental media sampling;
- Participate in hazardous material inspections for asbestos, lead-based paint, mold, and other hazardous materials. A current state-issued asbestos inspector license is desired, but not a prerequisite;
- Perform industrial hygiene testing for various chemical agents and physical stressors in manufacturing, commercial, and construction settings;
- Review and interpret information from safety data sheets and online information sources;
- Perform Phase 1 and 2 Environmental Site Assessments;
- Contractor oversight and preparation of daily field reports;
- Monthly Operation & Maintenance of various environmental remediation systems (P&T, SVE, etc.);
- Technical report preparation;
- Professional interaction clients and various regulatory agencies;
- Problem solving for a wide variety of clients and situations; and
- Ability and desire to learn and apply standard operating procedures with attention to detail.
- Proof of organizational, written, and verbal communication skills;
- Ability to write in English;
- Basic computer skills including proficiency with Adobe PDF, Microsoft Word, PowerPoint and Excel;
- Possess the ability to traverse a construction job site consisting of uneven ground varying in height and consistency of material and variation in elevation (mud, gravel, rutted ground etc.);
- Be able to wear standard PPE, (i.e., hard hats, safety vest, work boots, safety glasses/goggles);
- Valid driver’s license and safe driving record; and
- As this is primarily a field-based position, the ability and desire to work outdoors in a variety of weather conditions is required.
