Assist in the development of additive manufacturing technologies for advanced metal alloys and support the entire manufacturing process from raw material production to coupon fabrication, material analysis, and mechanical & thermal testing. Assist in the development and testing of lightweight cellular materials. Work independently, follow detailed instructions, and suggest improvements to existing processes. Position requires frequent technical communication with team members and customers, including oral and written reporting. Essential Duties
Prepare 3D printer and select print parameters. 3D print test coupons and samples. Analyze 3D printed and otherwise fabricated samples including materials characterization, microscopy, and mechanical & thermal testing. Education Desired
Currently pursuing a degree in Mechanical Engineering, Materials Science, Chemistry, Physics, or closely related field.
Applicant should have completed at least 2 years of college. Physical Demands
Must be capable of working safely in a laboratory and performing extended analysis at computer workstations. Must be able to perform work while wearing a powered or unpowered air-purifying respirator. Special Requirements

The pay range for this position is $22 - $35 per hour. Our pay ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires for the position.
