Based in Southern California with locations in Malibu, Calabasas, Westlake Village and Camarillo; HRL has been on the leading edge of technology, conducting pioneering research and advancing the state of the art.
Essential Duties:
Measure and characterize semiconductor devices and RF interconnects.
Collect and analyze measurement data manually, or by writing automated test programs and scripts.
Work with design engineers to debug test setups and develop test strategies.
Must be comfortable working in a research laboratory environment.
Able to work on multiple projects and interact with multiple project leads.
Required Skills:
5 years of experience in RF testing and characterization.
Test development setup for measuring and characterizing RF devices
Significant experience with RF/microwave components and measurement techniques.
Understanding of RF design practices (e.g. controlled impedance transmission lines, crosstalk minimization, signal integrity, power integrity).
Experience using a wide variety of measurement equipment such as High-Speed Oscilloscopes, VNAs, Spectrum Analyzers, Time Domain Reflectometry TDR, Semiconductor Analyzers, Function/Waveform Generators, etc.
Able to develop custom code to make automated measurements and to analyze/process data using GPIB, USB, or other data interfaces.
Good understanding of coding languages such as MATLAB, LabVIEW, Python, C, C , etc.
Familiar with time-domain simulation software such Spice or EM simulation software a plus.
Strong hands-on skills in the lab, such as soldering, creating test fixtures and custom wiring.
Experience with the latest test equipment and most advanced measurement methods.
Able to multi task among different projects.
Good understanding of semiconductor device physics and measurement methods for device modeling.
Required Education:
Bachelor or master’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Physics, or related scientific discipline.
Special Requirements:
US citizenship is required. Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance. Active SSBI is a plus
Compensation:
The base salary range for this full-time position is $132,765 - $165,983 bonus benefits.
