hr360 is Hiring an On-Call Physician - Integrated Care Center Near San Francisco, CA

Job Overview The Physician is responsible for the provision of primary and preventive health care services to the patient population of HealthRIGHT 360; including but not limited to chronic disease management, addiction medicine, pain management, caring for the medical needs of patients presenting with co-occurring disorders and homeless individuals within the Patient Centered Medical/Health Home delivery model. Key ResponsibilitiesMedicine Responsibilities: Provides preventive oriented ambulatory primary care in a Patient Centered Medical/Health Home delivery model. Assist Medical Director in reviewing mid-level practitioner and/or peer-physician charts. Assume role as acting Medical Director in the absence of Medical Director. Be able to travel to different site locations based on availability of provider team. Performance Management Responsibilities: Participates in the clinic performance improvement program. Supervision Responsibilities: Supervises mid-level clinicians, medical residents and students, attends bi-weekly staff meetings and monthly HIV care meetings. Assist Medical Director in developing and implementing teaching curriculum for staff, residents, and students. And, other duties as assigned. Education and Knowledge, Skills and AbilitiesEducation and Experience Required: M.D. or D. O. degree from an accredited school, 2 years recent experience in similar setting, recent experience managing patients presenting with opioid dependency, co-occurring disorders, homelessness, and/or HIV/AIDS management. Certification/Licensure: Board Certified or eligible, Licensure as a physician in the State of California, without any limitations on his/her license to practice in his/her specialty, Eligible to participate in the CMS Medicaid/Medicare reimbursement programs. Desired: Knowledge of third party payer regulations, California practice guidelines and malpractice laws, Title 22, HIPAA regulations, Bureau of Primary Health Care FQHC program regulations. Proficiency in a language in addition to English.Background Clearance Required: Must not be on active parole or probation.Knowledge Required: Culturally competent and able to work with a diverse population.Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office applications, specifically Word Outlook and internet applications.Experience working successfully with issues of substance abuse, mental health, criminal background, and other potential barriers to economic self sufficiency.
