Warehouse Director of Operations

Position Summary :

HR Solutions is seeking a Warehouse Director of Operations for our client in the Evansville, IN area.

Responsibilities :

• Oversee the implementation of all warehouse operations, including logistics, scheduling systems, delivery, and transportation, loading dock activity, security, and warehouse temperature control
• Develop and drives culture of accountability through daily assessments and operational evaluation
• Direct the activities involved in the efficient movement of product including accurate receipt, storage and distribution maximizing space, resources and avoiding waste or damages
• Ensure accurate inventory of products through a maintained inventory control system
• Assist in the development and implementation of productivity standards and goals in support of the annual operating plan
• Ensure optimal effectiveness and production through effective use of inventory software specifically warehouse management, inventory procurement and management, labor control, and distribution logistics
• Ensure equipment and facility are operational while identifying opportunities for improvement to reduce waste and manage repair needs
• Oversee preventative maintenance for vehicles, equipment, and facilities Qualifications :
• Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Operations, or equivalent experience
• Minimum of five years of prior management experience in a fast-paced warehouse environment
• Five years’ experience with distribution / logistics systems in a manufacturing environment preferred
• Ability to work with a diverse staff and manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously
• Forklift certification preferred Compensation :
• $60,000 / year
