HR Partners is Hiring a Paralegal Near Buckhead, GA

This position will support our practice by providing support to the Collections Department. This position will oversee Client Services for Collections and AppLega. This position will oversee processes and contribute to paralegal billable work to support the entire department.To be successful in this role, you will need to be proficient with Microsoft Office applications such as Word, Excel and Outlook. You will also need to be able to multitask effectively, communicate well, and thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment. You should have the computer and technical knowledge to conduct legal research, as well as strong analytical, communication, and organizational skills. This position also requires you to be proactive, professional, and committed to providing attentive support, both internally to our organization, and externally to clients and courts, and ensuring consistent and efficient operations in the Collections Department. 
  • Prepare Payoffs.
  • Process payments for Homeowner Payments.
  • Oversee Client Services for Collections, including monthly status reports and responding to client questions/updates.
  • Prepare Covenant Violation Demand Letters.
  • Act as senior paralegal floater to ensure timely completion of all deliverables.
  • Update and audit ledgers for clients and attorneys as needed.
  • Provide training for Collections staff on an ongoing basis.
  • Assist in the employee onboarding and offboarding process.
  • Setup new clients by updating CollectCA and AppLega once assessment are completed.
  • Monitor inboxes including E-filing, Payoff Request, and Status Update.
  • Run monthly foreclosure report and check against pending collection accounts.
  • Following the first Tuesday of each month, verify whether foreclosure sale took place, notate the collection account accordingly, and inform client as needed.
  • Manage AppLega including Collections team support, Client portal requests, and template and workflow overhaul in coordination with attorney.
  • Special projects for Collections department and firm as needed.
Minimum Qualifications (Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities):
  • Associate degree or certificate program in paralegal studies preferred.
  • 2-3 years legal support experience as a Management, Senior Paralegal, or Paralegal.
  • Knowledge of legal principles and practices related to the collection of debt.
  • Thorough knowledge of legal terminology, legal communication principles and practices.
  • Legal research experience preferred.
  • In-depth knowledge of local, state, and federal laws and regulations.
  • Relevant computer software knowledge and experience.
  • Customer Service skill and Team Work ethic required.
  • Must be able to effectively multi-task, manage time-sensitive documents, and work in a fast-paced and often stressful environment with minimal oversight.
  • Ability to prioritize effectively under competing deadlines and tasks.
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills.
  • Comfortability with numbers and spreadsheets to build out account ledgers.
  • Organized and detail oriented.
  • Aptitude for Analytical and critical thinking.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Outlook, Excel and Word.
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality of privileged information.
  • Quick learner.
