Job Summary
The Program Director assures that contract requirements for Family Preservation Services are met through the leadership, supervision, and training of staff. Represents the agency as one of the primary liaisons to DCF and participates in statewide or regional stakeholder meetings, policy, program improvement or advisory groups.
Essential Functions
  • Assures that contract requirements for Family Preservation Services are met through leadership, supervision and training of all staff
  • Oversees training, implementation, and continual evaluation of in-home evidence-based practice models, and coordinating with EBP consultants
  • Represents the agency as one of the primary liaisons to DCF and participates in statewide or regional stakeholder meetings, policy, program improvement or advisory groups
  • Directly supervises team members and performs all supervisory responsibilities in accordance with DCCCA policy and applicable laws
  • Determines that all state outcomes and requirements are met and maintains documentation to validate these outcomes
  • Coordinates on-going staff trainings that meet both state and agency expectations
  • Serves as a liaison with community agencies, universities, DCF, and the judicial system to represent DCCCA's programs, philosophy and mission
  • Oversees quality assurance reviews of caseloads and documentation
  • Job may require the employee to be able to regularly drive to various DCCCA locations and other business locations throughout the day or night as required
Supervisory Functions:
  • Reads, interprets, and applies governance, program, and department policy appropriately.
  • Conducts interviews and assists with selection of new employees, in coordination with Human Resources.
  • Oversees the onboarding of new hires and ensures adequate on-the-job training is provided.
  • Strives to build a strong sense of team within the department and implements trauma-informed care supervision practices as appropriate.
  • Ensures frontline staff are provided with appropriate support.
  • Holds regular one-on-ones with employees, in accordance with policy.
  • Holds regular team meetings with employees.
  • Evaluates employee performance utilizing the agency's performance management system.
  • Reviews and approves employees' timekeeping in the agency's HRIS.
  • Attends ongoing training and development at the direction of their supervisor.
Education, Experience and Licensure
  • Bachelor's degree in social work or related field, required. Master's degree, preferred.
  • Two years of senior management experience, required.
  • Human Services or Children and Family Services experience, required.
  • Must possess a valid Driver's License, in force automobile liability insurance, and maintain a Motor Vehicle Record (MVR) that meets organization's insurability standard as defined by DCCCA policy. Availability of reliable transportation is required for this position.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities
  • Effective listening, oral, and written communication skills, including face-to-face, on-site, in person discussions. Exercises appropriate use of positive language.
  • Regular and reliable on-site attendance.
  • Proficiency with computers and Microsoft suite of products including Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel, and PowerPoint.
  • Ability to efficiently operate other office equipment such as telephones, voicemail systems, copy and fax machines, and scanners.

Travel
  • This position requires travel, which may include driving personal or company-owned vehicles. Note: Even with a valid driver's license, certain motor vehicle infractions may render individual's ineligible to drive company-owned or personal vehicles for company business. Such infractions may also disqualify employees from continued employment with DCCCA, Inc.
