Personal Systems Finance Controls and Compliance Analyst
Description -
Job Summary
This role is responsible for working alongside the PS Finance teams to ensure all key processes are documented and optimized and that controls are in place and are effective in ensuring the accuracy of our Financials.
This role is responsible for providing recommendations to the PS Finance teams with respect to optimization opportunities and coordinating and jointly working requests on behalf of the central Controls and Compliance organization. The role will also participate in cross-functional initiatives, and guiding process improvements and policy establishment. The role collaborates with business leaders to influence strategic decision-making and conducts complex financial analysis to achieve objectives effectively. The role also represents the business unit and the organization as needed, builds productive relationships, and mentors lower-level employees.
Responsibilities
•Develop initial operational controls and documentation process.
•Partner with commercial and consumer Finance organizations to complete documentation.
•Ongoing monitoring of controls effectiveness.
•Periodic updates to controls and respective owners.
•Support/facilitate remediation actions for issues identified through monitoring activities.
•Leads and/or provides expertise to functional project teams and participates in cross-functional initiatives.
•Acts as an expert providing direction and guidance to process improvements and establishing policies.
•Represents the organization to external customers and clients.
•Applies advanced subject matter knowledge, leads, and contributes to complex projects, and exercises independent judgment in resolving business issues and establishing policies.
•Develops and builds productive internal/external working relationships and provides mentoring and guidance to lower-level employees.
Education & Experience Recommended
•Four-year or Graduate Degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, or any other related discipline or commensurate work experience or demonstrated competence.
•Typically has 7-10 years of work experience, preferably in financial management, internal audit, accounting, or a related field.
