Summary

The Preventative Maintenance Technician will be responsible for performing assigned preventative maintenance procedures on a variety of equipment throughout the Rx Lab. These duties will be inclusive of following related equipment SOP's, CMMS utilization and task execution in a timely and effective manner.

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

1. Ensures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance.
2. Monitors and completes all required preventative maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe.
3. Safe operation of a fork truck and scissor lift.
4. Communicates with lead or supervisor for task priority and completion.
5. Ability to effectively use CMMS and email communications.
6. Keeps inventory by entering part information into the CMMS.
7. Maintains control and traceability related to tooling inside shop.
8. Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment.
9. Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standard.

Position Requirements

Some computer knowledge

Proficient in the use of assorted hand tools

Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 12 hours per day per scheduled shift)

Must be able to read and understand technical data for the position

High School Diploma or GED

Ability to work in a fast-paced environment

Good communication skills and a team player

Expected Knowledge and competencies

Preventative maintenance on the auto tapers, auto blockers, generators, polishers, deblockers, decappers, conveyor belts, edger's, inspection machines, lens cleaning units and more.

Performs all PM task and routine maintenance task to keep machines clean and in good daily working order.
