SummaryThe Maintenance Helper will be responsible for various duties in support of the maintenance team. These duties will be inclusive of facilities maintenance and introductory preventative maintenance of equipment. Essential Duties & ResponsibilitiesEnsures proper operation of equipment by performing scheduled preventative maintenance as called out in the AE system.Monitors and completes all required maintenance tasks within a specified timeframe.Safe operation of a fork truck and scissor lift.Communicates daily with lead or supervisor for task priority and completion.Ability to effectively use AE for tasks, track parts used, and document at least 70% of daily activities. Ability to work from elevated positions up to 25’.Maintain control and traceability related to tooling inside shop and outside vendors.Actively participates in building a collaborative and productive team environment.Supports the operational environment by maintaining an OSHA safety standard. Any other duties assigned by the Maintenance Supervisor or Manager. Position RequirementsSome computer knowledge (including email and CMMS systems).Ability to stand for prolonged periods of time (up to 12 hours per day per scheduled shift).Must be able to read and understand technical data for the position.High School Diploma or GED.Ability to work in a fast-paced environment.Good communication skills and a team player. Expected Knowledge and competencies Preventative maintenance: Daily, weekly, and monthly, on the Bazell system, auto-tapers, auto-blockers, generators, polishers, de-blockers, de-tapers, conveyor belts, and general building maintenance. Repairs: Performs basic PM, and routine maintenance tasks to keep all machines clean and in good working order as called out on the daily task list. Tools, Work shirts and Safety shoes provided.
