Howell Family Dentist is Hiring a Dental Assistant Near Howell, MI

We're a private practice looking for an EXPERIENCED part-time or full-time dental assistant to join our dental family. Dental assistants will be chairside assisting doctors with root canals, oral surgery, crowns, implants, dentures and digital x-rays. DENTRIX and CEREC users a plus!! QUALIFICATIONS

  • Possess great communication skills, be dependable, friendly, motivated and organized
  • Knowledge of dental terminology
  • Computer skills/ DENTRIX user a plus
  • Understanding of dental instruments
  • Take quality dental x-rays
  • Able to make temporaries
  • CEREC user a plus
  • Able to provide references

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Welcome and seat patients
  • Prepare patients for treatment while ensuring their comfort
  • Set up instruments, equipment and materials as needed
  • Sterilize instruments according to regulations
  • Assist the dentist through 4-handed dentistry for procedures which include, but not limited to: assisting with crowns, bridges, fillings, extractions, root canals, implants and dentures
  • Undertake lab tasks as instructed
  • Provide oral hygiene and post-operative care instructions
  • Keep dental room lean and well stocked
  • Maintain accurate patient record

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time

Pay: $20.00 - $26.00 per hour
