To ensure the optimal functioning and maintenance of our properties, we are seeking a skilled and versatile Property Maintenance Manager/Handyman to join our team.

Job Overview:

As the Property Maintenance Manager/Handyman, you will play a crucial role in overseeing the maintenance and upkeep of our properties, including office buildings, facilities, and residential properties. This position requires technical expertise and hands-on experience in property maintenance and repair. You will be responsible for managing maintenance operations, and performing various hands-on tasks as needed.

Responsibilities:

  • Manage all aspects of property maintenance, including preventive maintenance, repairs, and improvements.
  • Coordinate and schedule maintenance activities to ensure efficient operations and minimal disruption to business activities.
  • Conduct regular inspections of properties to identify maintenance needs, safety hazards, and opportunities for improvement.
  • Perform hands-on repairs and maintenance tasks, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work.
  • Oversee and coordinate with external contractors for specialized maintenance tasks, obtaining quotes and ensuring quality workmanship.
  • Maintain accurate records of maintenance activities, expenses, and inventory of supplies and equipment.
  • Respond promptly to maintenance requests from staff and address issues in a timely and professional manner.
  • Ensure compliance with safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Develop and implement maintenance policies and procedures to enhance efficiency, effectiveness, and sustainability.

Qualifications:

  • Proven experience in property maintenance, with at least 3 years of experience in a similar role.
  • Strong technical skills and proficiency in a variety of trades, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and general handyman work.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot maintenance issues effectively.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines.
  • Attention to detail and a commitment to delivering high-quality workmanship.
  • Knowledge of safety regulations, building codes, and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
