Position: Maintenance Technician - Senior Living

Summary:
We are seeking a skilled and experienced Maintenance Technician to join our team at a senior living community. The ideal candidate will have previous experience in building maintenance, repairs, and facility management, as well as a strong understanding of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other general maintenance tasks. The Maintenance Technician will be responsible for ensuring the safety, security, and overall well-being of our residents by maintaining and repairing the physical environment of the community.
Responsibilities:
- Perform general maintenance and repairs of the physical building, including electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and other systems
- Conduct routine inspections of the property to identify and address maintenance issues in a timely manner
- Respond to maintenance requests from residents and staff and address issues promptly
- Coordinate with vendors and contractors for larger maintenance projects and repairs
- Help maintain the cleanliness and order of the community by performing regular cleaning tasks
- Assist with groundskeeping and landscaping duties as needed
- Participate in emergency response procedures as necessary
- Keep accurate records of maintenance activities and equipment inventory
- Provide excellent customer service to residents and staff by responding in a professional and courteous manner
Qualifications:
- High school diploma or equivalent
- 3 years of experience in building maintenance and repairs, preferably in a senior living or healthcare setting
- Strong knowledge of electrical, plumbing, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks
- Ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Basic computer skills and the ability to use maintenance management software
- Physical stamina and the ability to lift heavy objects and perform manual labor
- Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
Must be able to pass a criminal background check
