Job title: Cheerleader Program AssociateWork Location: NRG Stadium – Houston, TexasDivision/Department: CheerleadersReports to: Director of Cheerleader Programs ☐ Full-Time ☒ Part-Time ☐ Exempt ☒ Non-ExemptEssential Job Function: Perform duties on Houston Texans (“Club”) gamedays to assist Houston Texans Cheerleaders (“Cheerleader” or “Cheerleaders”) with preparations for gameday appearances and to escort assigned Cheerleaders to scheduled gameday appearances.Provide support to the Cheerleaders during on-field performances and/or assist with special programs and presentations. Attend and assist at Cheerleader practices as assigned. Duties/Responsibilities: Attend all Club home games as assigned by Director of Cheerleader Program and/or Cheerleader Program Assistants Assisting Cheerleaders with individual preparations for gameday.Escorting assigned Cheerleader(s) to designated appearance locations to ensure prompt arrival at scheduled time. Overseeing Cheerleader lines during on-field performances, providing and managing supplies as needed, recording performances and assisting with verbal and cellular communication on gamedays.Assisting with special programs or presentations, like Junior Cheerleaders or themed half-time performances, as requested. Support Cheerleader program efforts as requested or assigned, including, but not limited to: Cheer Tryouts, cheer uniform and equipment distribution, collection and storage, youth program initiatives, appearances and photo shoots.Attend Cheerleader practices from time to time as requested, with duties to include, but not be limited to, critiquing dances and reviewing gameday procedures.Set up and breakdown of the Cheerleader Locker Room Perform various other tasks that may be assigned from time to time by the Director or Cheerleader Programs and/or Cheerleader Program Assistant.Subject to reasonable accommodations, position requires routine face-to-face personal interaction with other Club personnel; therefore, job responsibilities must be physically performed in the Club offices and not in a telecommuting manner. Education and/or Work Experience Requirements: High school diploma or equivalent required.Professional dance experience required.One year as an Alumna of the Houston Texans Cheerleader Program required. Ability and knowledge to teach, critique and execute professional dance techniques and routines. Ability to work effectively as a team member.Strong organizational and time management skills with ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks.Ability to maintain attention to detail and ability to work effectively within deadlines. Ability to maintain confidential and/or proprietary information.Ability to exhibit effective interpersonal (verbal and non-verbal) communication skills on a one-on-one or group basis to create and maintain positive working relationships. Ability and internal drive to demonstrate a winning attitude and a strong work ethic in the performance of all job responsibilities.Job requires walking around and standing for prolonged periods of time in various Club premises in and around NRG Stadium and NRG Park, as may be assigned. Physical Requirements: Occasional travel related to job duties and responsibilities.Must be able to lift and carry up to 20 lbs. Must be able to talk, stand, walk, sit, drive, bend, squat, climb, twist and reach as necessary.
