Reports To:General Manager FLSA (Fair Labor Standards Act) Status:Exempt, FT

SUMMARY 

The AGM reports directly to the General Manager and is responsible for overseeing and coordination of the storage, kitting, picking, packing, shipping, and safety of customer products. This position involves a great demand for outstanding people skills;communication, motivation, and leadership. The AGM will be responsible for helping to select supply chain initiatives aimed at reducing costs, improving profitability, increasing customer satisfaction, and implementing the best global processes and practices. The AGM must have the skills necessary to successfully master and oversee maximum resource utilization of the warehouse facility within meeting and exceeding warehouse targets of delivery performance expectations while possessingextensive experience with QS or IS09001 and be well versed with JIT environments. In addition, the AGM will welcome leading and directing a diverse workforce (non-exempt & exempt employees.)

JOB RESPONSIBLITIES: 

  • Manage and monitor operations efforts to achieve synergies and ensure achievement of targets, including managing and cleaning up the order queue. 

  • Assist in strategizing operations projects and managing resources to ensure achievement of budgeted targets and goals. 

  • Cascade objectives, plans, and targets throughout the organization and allocate resources required for achievement of objectives. 

  • Maintain a working knowledge of all operational processes and develop and maintain standard operating procedures. 

  • Review and follow-up on results of production, efficiency, costs, and inventory accuracy, and analyze data to help determine strategic actions for improvements in quality. 

  • Lead, direct, and coordinate all activities for operating and managing a 3PL facility, plan, direct, and implement warehouse operations to meet stated KPIs (key performance indicators) and SLAs, manage time keeping for all non-exempt team members via payroll system, and staff the operation with qualified personnel. 

  • Develop, communicate, and implement mid- and long-term goals and production plans, and resolve performance issues through coaching and/or coordination with People Ops for training and development. 

  • Establish and enforce company work rules and requirements, resolve complaints and conflicts among warehouse employees, promote employee morale and development

  • Ensure proper staffing levels are maintained and coordinate with People Ops or external agencies to plan & forecast peak season or project-based staffing strategies

  • Build and maintain harmonious relationships with key accounts, external customers, internal customers, by communicating effectively with all mentioned and new and existing clients, while responding to inquiries in a timely manner. 

  • Promote a positive productive environment through coaching, teamwork, and employee engagement, and ensure the staff follows company and government policies and procedures, while assembling quality products. 

  • Manage and ensure what is sent to the customer(s) is quality products, lead root causes efforts to resolve quality issues and implement sustainable countermeasures. 

  • Assist with planning, discussing, and completing reports about the production and the staff, and interacting with senior management while providing updates and solutions on issues about business impact. 

  • Responsible for leading operations and future launches under their respective General Manager and developing, communicating, and implementing organizational strategies. 

  • Maintain a work environment that provides for the safety of employees and the security of products. 

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Experience in Lean

  • Ecommerce or direct to consumer/business to consumer (D2C/B2C) highly preferred.

  • Experience in a fast pace, high volume, unit pick fulfillment DC environment.

  • Ability to understand and thrive in high volume work environment during extremely busy peak seasons.

  • Must be proactive, data –driven, and a good, anticipated planner.

  • Must have experience managing as a third-party vendor is highly desired.

  • Hands-on strong problem-solving skills.

  • Proficiency developing metrics planning, proficient in Microsoft Excel

  • Knowledge of Warehouse Management Systems Integration/Implementation

EDUCATION and/or EXPERIENCE

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.A./B.S.) from a four-year college or university strongly preferred

  • Master's Degree favorable 

  • 3-7 years of Sr. Leadership experience and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience required

LANGUAGE SKILLS

Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals. Strong interpersonal, written, and oral communication skills. Ability to author routine reports and correspondence and to speak effectively before groups of customers or employees of the organization. Ability to communicate with all employees at all levels effectively.

COMPUTER RELATED SKILLS

Excellent computer skills with a proficiency in Microsoft applications, Outlook, correspondence, and an elevated level of comfort with Technology including managing and troubleshooting WMS systems. 

REASONING ABILITY

Ability to solve practical problems and deal with a variety of concrete variables in situations where only limited standardization exists. Identifying those standardization gaps while developing strategic processes for measured success. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
