The Houston Hospitality Alliance (“HHA” f/k/a the Greater Houston Convention and Visitors Bureau) is a dynamic 501(c)(6) trade association dedicated to connecting, educating, advocating for, promoting, and enhancing the vibrant hospitality industry in Houston, Texas. Comprised of passionate professionals, we strive to elevate businesses within the hospitality sector. These include hotels, restaurants, bars, venues, attractions, museums, theaters, and the businesses that support these industry members. As we continue to grow, we are accepting applications for a motivated and results-driven Communications and Marketing Manager to join our team.

Salary Range: $45,000 - $55,000 per year DOE

Responsibilities:

As a Marketing Specialist, you will be responsible for a wide variety of marketing activities, including but not limited to:

Social Media Management: Develop and execute social media strategies to enhance brand visibility and engage our target audience across various platforms.

Newsletter Design and Content: Create visually appealing monthly newsletters and content to communicate news, events, updates, member promotions and activities, and important information to our members.

Website Management and Graphics: Manage and update website content, including career center updates, member resources and events.

Digital Education: Develop digital educational resources and materials to enhance member engagement.

Board Presentation Design: Create visually impactful presentations for board meetings, member mixers and other events.

KPI Management and Reporting: Track key performance indicators (KPIs) and prepare regular reports to measure the effectiveness of marketing initiatives, manage marketing budget and inform decision-making.

Event Support: Provide support in the planning, design, and execution of events, including creating event collateral and materials.

Member Communication: Develop and execute member communication strategies, including email campaigns, event promotion, e-blasts, and social media posts.

Member Benefit Management: Manage member benefits programs, ensuring members receive value-added services and offerings.

Member Relations: Build and maintain positive relationships with members and prospects, addressing web and social media inquiries in a timely and professional manner.

Marketing Materials and Swag: Develop marketing materials and promotional items to enhance brand awareness and support marketing campaigns.

Qualifications:

Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field.

Five (5) years of experience in the marketing field.

Proven experience in marketing roles, with a focus on social media management, content creation, and digital marketing.

Proficiency in graphic design tools such as Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign).

Strong project management skills, with the ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively.

Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.

Detail-oriented with a creative mindset and a passion for marketing.

Benefits:

Competitive salary within the range of $45,000 - $55,000 per year DOE.
