Position Summary
This Assistant Professor of Art position requires an applicant who is able to teach painting, drawing, and sculpture to both graduate and undergraduate studio level visual arts students. The ability to teach one of the MFA graduate seminars will be required. In addition, this assistant professor must be responsible for demonstrating, maintaining, and supervising the safety standards of the visual arts department group studios.
Due to the active exhibition schedule in both the Contemporary Gallery and Gallery 220 spaces, the art assistant professor must also function as a museum and gallery coordinator. This will require experience in exhibition design, installation and assisting in the opening exhibition logistics, including overseeing the hanging of the exhibition, providing signage and coordinating the marketing activities. The applicant will welcome visitors to the museum and lead tours and create educational experiences for our students and the community by organizing, planning and leading visiting tour groups, camps and assist with high school recruiting.
Qualifications :
The successful candidate will possess:

• Bachelor of Fine Arts, Master of Fine Arts in Studio Art degrees
• Studio artist with exhibiting experience
• Teaching experience at the undergraduate and graduate levels
