JOB DESCRIPTION

Title: Administrative Housing Manager

Working Conditions: Non-Exempt; 52 weeks; flexible schedule as necessary; travel as required

SCOPE:

The Administrative Housing Manager is responsible for assisting the Property Manager with the general oversight of the properties. S/he maintains regular office hours to be available for residents, represents the HRA, responds to the needs of residents and follows established HRA policies and procedures. Willingness to take direction, maintain confidentiality, and to perform in a dependable, trustworthy manner. It is necessary that the person be patient, pleasant, and know how to respond to the general needs of the project.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

High School graduate required, two year technical degree in Administrative Support, Office Management or similar field preferred or three years of related experience.

Knowledge of personal computers, Microsoft Excel and Word and electronic communications. Strong written and verbal communications. Be able to work in a positive manner with resident, co-workers and independently. Possess a valid driver’s license.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Take rental applications, show model units, make credit and reference inquires, and prepare and execute leases.
  2. Collects rent receipts and records transactions as necessary.
  3. Answers phones and addresses complaints.
  4. Records, inputs and tracks completion of all maintenance work requests.
  5. Maintains tenant files according to agency policies and procedures.
  6. Schedule and promote monthly resident activities designed to create socialization.
  7. In conjunction with the Property Manager, arrange for contract services through outside vendors.
  8. Ensure that all common areas are neat, clean and safe. Common areas include lobbies, hallways, specialty rooms (party or exercise room, etc.), common restrooms, guest unit, elevators, stairways, entrance vestibules, and garage area.
  9. Performs other such tasks and special projects as needed.
