Seeking skylight installer with total competence in skylight and Sun Tunnel installation with some experience with

commercial skylights. This role requires competence at a higher level of carpentry skills and the knowledge to install skylights in all situations.

Responsibilities include :

• Remove and replace a Deck-mounted or Curb-mounted skylight on asphalt or Cedar roof
• Install Sun Tunnels on sloped or flat roof
• Able to resize existing skylight opening to accommodate new skylight sizes
• Work effectively and safely on roofs and ladders
• Erect and break down ladders, scaffolding, etc. with attention to safety
• Unload and carry skylights and materials in excess of 75lbs. to 95lbs.
• Intermediate carpentry skills with emphasis on framing, trim and roofing
• Clean up job site at the completion of installation and daily as work progresses

Requirements

• Able to lead a team or work alone as required
• Strength able to carry 75 to 95 lbs. up and down a ladder
• Able to read and follow blueprints and architects’ instructions
• Good knowledge of English (spoken and written)
• Excellent balance and eye-hand coordination
• Not afraid of ladders or working on roofs
• Valid driver’s license and good driving record
• Complete VELUX Five-Star Training
• High school diploma or equivalent
