Job Title: Part-Time Nanny

Location: Brooklyn, NY

Schedule:

• Tuesday - Thursday: Ideally 10 AM - 4 PM
• Friday or Monday: Flexible hours
• Total: 30 hours per week (The family is flexible and can adjust the schedule to fit the needs of their perfect candidate)

Compensation: $30 per hour

About the Family: A warm and loving family in Brooklyn is seeking a nurturing and dedicated nanny for their sweet and adventurous 5-month-old baby boy. They value a developmental approach to childcare and are looking for someone who can become an integral part of their family, providing consistent and loving care for years to come. The family includes Mom, Dad, their baby boy, and a friendly 19 lb Labradoodle. They are looking for a Nanny who will become an extension of themselves for their little one,

Responsibilities:

• Provide attentive and nurturing care to the baby
• Engage in activities such as tummy time, free play, and introducing new toys
• Maintain a consistent schedule of feeding, playing, and sleeping
• Assist with introducing solids through baby-led weaning and pures
• Wash pump parts and help prepare baby food
• Assist with the baby's and some family laundry
• Help with unloading and loading the dishwasher as needed
• Spend quality time with the baby, reading to him and encouraging his developmental growth in a calm and serene environment

Requirements:

• Prior experience as a nanny, particularly with infants
• Knowledge of handling breast milk, pump parts, and baby-led weaning
• Strong communication skills and willingness to take advice and provide feedback - The family truly values working as a team and collaboration.
• Energetic, active, and adventurous spirit to match the family's personality
• Comfortable with a Labradoodle and willing to interact with the family dog
• Adherence to a no screen time policy; full engagement with the baby
• Ability to help with light household tasks and maintain a tidy environment
• Long-term commitment to grow with the baby and the family

Ideal Candidate:

• Reliable, honest, and communicative
• Passionate about child development, preferably with knowledge of Montessori principles
• Comfortable working in a home where a parent is often present and in and out of the room
• Flexible to adjust to changing schedules and additional hours if needed
