House of Gratitude Foundation is Hiring a Grant Writer Near Baton Rouge, LA

Job Overview:
We are seeking a skilled Grant Writer to join our team. The Grant Writer will be responsible for researching, writing, and submitting grant proposals to secure funding for our organization. The ideal candidate will have excellent writing skills, attention to detail, and a strong understanding of grant writing principles.

Duties:
- Research and identify potential funding opportunities from various sources
- Write compelling grant proposals that align with the organization's mission and goals
- Collaborate with program managers and finance team to develop budgets for grant proposals
- Gather necessary information and supporting documents for grant applications
- Ensure timely submission of grant proposals and follow-up on their status
- Maintain a database of grants, deadlines, and reporting requirements
- Monitor and track progress of funded projects and provide regular updates to stakeholders
- Conduct research on best practices in grant writing and stay updated on funding trends

Skills:
- Excellent written communication skills with the ability to write clear, concise, and persuasive grant proposals
- Proficiency in using fundraising software such as Raiser Edge or similar platforms
- Strong organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities
- Attention to detail in proofreading and editing grant proposals for accuracy and consistency
- Knowledge of budgeting principles and experience in developing budgets for grant proposals
- Ability to conduct thorough research on potential funders and gather relevant data for proposals
- Familiarity with financial report writing to provide accurate information on project outcomes
- Technical writing skills to effectively communicate complex program details in a clear manner
- Experience in program development or project management is a plus
