Position Description

HOURCAR is a non-profit carshare organization dedicated to providing sustainable transportation solutions to our community. We are seeking a Data Analyst to help us in our mission by assisting in analyzing complex data to better understand utilization, trends, customer behavior, and revenue generation. This position offers an exciting opportunity to make a meaningful impact on our organization's mission while utilizing your analytical skills.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with teams to gather and analyze complex data related to utilization, trends, revenue generation, and customer behavior
• Assist in developing and maintaining databases and data systems necessary for projects, department, and organizational functions
• Create easy-to-interpret data visualizations and dashboards to effectively communicate key metrics and actionable findings to external and internal stakeholders
• Work closely with marketing and community engagement teams to support the identification of key demographic groups and support the development of effective strategies
• Work with Member Services staff to identify customer relationship opportunities and provide systems services feedback, development, and improvements
• Work with Planning staff to support strategic growth and development of our services
• Work closely with the finance team to develop a granular analysis of revenue and identify trends and opportunities for revenue optimization
• Provide ongoing support and training to departmental staff on how to interpret and utilize data dashboards effectively

Qualifications

• A self-starter who can work independently and take initiative
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Extremely strong organizational skills, attention to detail, and flexibility to work in tight timelines
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, relevant experience, or certifications/courses preferred
• Proficiency using statistical analysis tools, such as SQL, Excel, R, Python, or similar; and data visualization tools, such as Tableau, Power BI, or similar.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to create actionable insights
• Ability to pass a background check and adhere to HOURCAR’s member and employment requirements
• Cordiality and respect for diverse audiences at all times, including gender identities and pronouns

Physical Requirements

• Able to sit or stand for a sustained periods of time
• Fluent in speaking, reading, and writing in English
• Use communication devices including computer and telephone
• Ability to concentrate, learn and retain knowledge
• Ability to work in a hybrid work environment with reliable internet when working remotely

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $22.00 - $25.00 per hour
