Overview:
We are seeking a highly organized and experienced Housekeeping Supervisor to join our team. As a Housekeeping Supervisor, you will be responsible for overseeing the daily operations of our housekeeping department and ensuring that our facilities are clean, well-maintained, and meet the highest standards of cleanliness and hygiene. This is a leadership role that requires strong managerial skills and a keen attention to detail.
Duties:
- Manage and supervise a team of housekeeping staff, providing guidance, training, and support
- Develop and implement cleaning schedules and procedures to ensure efficient and effective cleaning operations
- Inspect rooms, public areas, and facilities to ensure cleanliness and adherence to standards
- Coordinate with other departments to ensure smooth operations and guest satisfaction
- Monitor inventory levels of cleaning supplies and equipment, and place orders as needed
- Handle guest complaints or special requests regarding housekeeping services
- Conduct regular performance evaluations of housekeeping staff
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations
- Oversee the laundering of linens, towels, and other items
Skills:
- Proven experience in housekeeping management or a similar role
- Strong knowledge of commercial cleaning practices and techniques
- Excellent leadership and supervisory skills
- Exceptional attention to detail
- Ability to multitask and prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Knowledge of custodial operations in a hotel or hospitality setting is preferred
