Physician – Orthopedic Surgeon – HSHS Medical Group / HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital - Effingham, Illinois

HSHS Medical Group is recruiting a BC/BE Orthopedic Surgeon to provide outpatient services at our Multispecialty Care Clinic in Effingham, IL and to provide surgical services at HSHS St. Anthony's Hospital also in Effingham, IL. HSHS Medical Group works in partnership with Hospital Sisters Health System.

Practice Highlights

  • Well established, growing practice
  • Strong primary care referral support
  • Other specialty support within the clinic for patients with mulitple needs
  • The OR is equipped with a MAKO Robotic-Arm, capable of performing MAKOplasty partial knee
    resurfacing, total hip replacement, and total knee replacements

Position Requirements

  • Unrestrictive Illinois license prior to start
  • Board Certified or Board Eligibility
  • 2 years of prior practicing expereince is preferred, but not required.
  • Must be willing to complete a combination of general orthopedics, joint replacements, and sports medicine
    • Ability to perform full hip, knee, and shoulder replacements are required

Position Details

  • Monday - Friday clinic and surgical schedule with the option of working either 4 or 5 days per week.
  • Minimal hospital call of approximately 5-7 days per month
  • Minimal phone call to cover after hours calls from your own patients

Compensation & Benefits Package

  • Base guarantee with opportunity to out-earn with productive bonuses
  • 20 days off 6 holidays per year
    • 1 extra day off is earned each year of service until 10 extra days have been earned with 10 years of service, which would give a total of 30 days off 6 holidays
  • CME reimbursement days per fiscal year
  • Opportunities to earn patient outcome/patient satisfaction bonuses
  • Sign-on bonus, housing incentive, and relocation assistance all available.
Qualifications

BE/BC Orthopedic Surgery

Education
Doctorate-Required

Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Must be licensed for Physician and Surgeon in the state of practice. Must also maintain an Controlled Substance license for the state and Federal DEA when applicable to their specialty. Must have successfully completed, or in the process of completing, an accredited residency program. Must be board certified or board eligible.
