Performs patient care under the direction of a registered nurse. Greets, assists, and directs patients and visitors and monitors activity to establish a friendly caring environment. Provides care for patients according to the standards of care specific to age and the individual's needs. May collect blood samples and process specimens. Maintains a safe, clean, and well-equipped environment.
QualificationsEducation
High School Diploma, GED or related vocational training is required.
Experience
1 year healthcare experience is preferred.
Certifications, Licenses and Registrations
Basic Life Support (BLS) is required within 30 days upon hire.
EMT (Emergency Medical Technician), CNA (Certified Nurse Assistant), or PCT (Patient Care Technician) certification is preferred.
