Responsible for the overall functioning of the facility and for the direct supervision of staff on a specific shift.

WHAT YOU WILL DO:

Assist in maintaining continuity of care between all shifts.
Assist the Team in the identification and resolution of problems and concerns in patient/family care.
Provided clinical guidance and consultation to nursing, social work and counseling disciplines.
Assist in the coordination of volunteers in caring for patients.
Assist in the development, planning and presentation of education/in service programs for the Team.
Oversee staffing needs on a daily basis as it relates to census and staff availability.
Oversee staff assignment on a daily basis.
Responsible for the evaluation of staff.
Plan and facilitate staff meetings.
Review and sign time sheets for staff.
Monitor time and attendance for staff.
Conduct chart reviews.
Participate in the disciplinary process for staff.
Assist with patient care as appropriate.
Assist with interviewing and selection process.

SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:

Licensed RN in the State of Ohio
BS or equivalent experience
Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead
Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.
Ability to exercise directions and good judgment in applying and interpreting agency policies and procedures.
Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to execute dynamic presentations.
Ability to maintain accurate records.
Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
Demonstrated leadership and time management skills
Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
Ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license, good driving record and auto accident insurance at a level acceptable to HWR and/or HWR’s insurer.

CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT:
