Responsible for the overall functioning of the facility and for the direct supervision of staff on a specific shift.

WHAT YOU WILL DO: 

  • Assist in maintaining continuity of care between all shifts. 
  • Assist the Team in the identification and resolution of problems and concerns in patient/family care. 
  • Provided clinical guidance and consultation to nursing, social work and counseling disciplines. 
  • Assist in the coordination of volunteers in caring for patients. 
  • Assist in the development, planning and presentation of education/in service programs for the Team. 
  • Oversee staffing needs on a daily basis as it relates to census and staff availability.
  • Oversee staff assignment on a daily basis
  • Responsible for the evaluation of staff. 
  • Plan and facilitate staff meetings. 
  • Review and sign time sheets for staff. 
  • Monitor time and attendance for staff. 
  • Conduct chart reviews. 
  • Participate in the disciplinary process for staff. 
  • Assist with patient care as appropriate. 
  • Assist with interviewing and selection process. 

SUCCESS CAPABILITIES:

  • Licensed RN in the State of Ohio
  • BS or equivalent experience 
  • Leadership experience or demonstrated ability to lead 
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with others.
  • Ability to exercise directions and good judgment in applying and interpreting agency policies and procedures. 
  • Highly developed interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing, and to execute dynamic presentations.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Ability to comprehend, interpret, and apply the appropriate sections of applicable laws, guidelines, regulations, ordinances, and policies.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Demonstrated leadership and time management skills
  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite or related software.
  • Ability to have and maintain a valid driver's license, good driving record and auto accident insurance at a level acceptable to HWR and/or HWR’s insurer.
