The QAPI Manager fills a management position with both clinical and management and the development and implementation of the QAPI program. In charge of reviewing hospice medical records for assessment of the quality of clinical services to ensure adherence to all policies and procedures and applicable standards and makes recommendations for changes in policies, procedures, systems and for staff education. Serves as liaison to and conduit between the Director of Patient Care Services, clinical staff on his/her respective team, patients and their families, and the community. Participates in the implementation of clinical policies and procedures; and carries out the organization's purposes in a manner consistent with the goals, objectives, and established policies. This position requires the ability to work flexible hours and may include evenings and weekends as necessary.

Qualifications:

Education: RN license with experience in education.

Experience: Experience teaching in multidisciplinary settings and developing programs and curriculum.

Core Competencies: Ability to be open, flexible, collaborative, and proactive with regard to assessment of agency education needs and implementation of MVI Standards. Demonstrate sound skills across the following core competency domains for health/clinical educators: analytical/assessment skills; program/curriculum development planning skills; interpersonal communication and cultural competency skills; community dimensions of clinical practice skills; interdisciplinary team and hospice and palliative care sciences skills; and leadership/systems thinking skills. Knowledge of QAPI functions/Medicare COPs, State regulations. Excellent oral and written communication skills. Ability to work with dying patients and their families. Possesses a sympathetic attitude toward caring for the hospice patient and demonstrates positive communication skills in interacting with other members of the hospice team. Proficiency in Microsoft Windows 11 operating system.
