Hospice of Central PA - Harrisburg is Hiring a RN - Registered Nurse - PRN Near Harrisburg, PA

We are a Central Pennsylvania based Non-profit Hospice & Post-Acute Healthcare Organization specializing in home-centered care and we are seeking a talented Registered Nurse who will be responsible to care for and support our patients and their families through a team of compassionate professionals and volunteers who have been specifically trained to provide end of life care.

Our care begins with our staff gaining an understanding of our patient and his or her unique experience and needs. Because we seek to care for the whole family, we also spend time getting to know the caregivers and other family members and friends who may be involved in patient care.

PRN opportunities available throughout our service area. We offer Shift flexibility and will schedule openings based on your preferences. Will consider four, six, eight, ten, and twelve hour shift availability.

All PRN positions have an expectation to adhere to the following guidelines:

  • PRN employees must attend each day of an agreed upon schedule for New Hire orientation.
  • Commit to working a minimum of two full shifts per calendar month.
  • One Holiday per calendar year.
  • PRN employees must attend Annual Hospice In-service days and meet annual training requirements.

Requirements:

  • Current PA RN license
  • Minimum one year clinical nursing experience: Hospice or Home Care required
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to track and complete multiple tasks
  • Ability to work independently

Responsibilities (not all inclusive):

  • Routine visits
  • Emergent need visits
  • Death pronouncements
  • Admissions
  • Triage phone calls
