POSITION OVERVIEW:

We are seeking a dynamic value driven mind to propel Horwitz procurement to new heights! If negotiating with vendors, spearheading effective procurement strategies, and developing robust supplier networks excite you, connect with us!

The Procurement Analyst at Horwitz will provide support to Project Support Center, Divisions, Project Managers, and projects to help Horwitz make great procurement decisions. This position seeks an understanding of project needs and aligns them with vendor offerings at the fairest price possible. This role has the potential to place Horwitz in position of strength to complete projects on time and within budgets. Cost benefit analysis should be a key source of energy and woven into the inner fiber of our ideal candidate.

WHAT YOU'LL DO:

These responsibilities generally describe the nature of the position and may not be all inclusive:

  • Formulate requests for proposal/quotations/information, bid analysis, tenders, and risk evaluations.
  • Advise in the interpretation and tailoring of acquisition to specifications, and ensure affordable, supportable, and effective solutions are delivered to the organization.
  • Analyze and develop improved policies, plans, methods, procedures, and systems supporting purchasing efforts.
  • Select suppliers and manage corresponding partnerships for all operating divisions.
  • Lead cross functional teams to drive procurement initiatives and improve bottom line performance.
  • Maintain current and accurate understanding of a broad base of commodities and general business conditions.
  • Analyze trends and make corresponding sourcing recommendations that contribute to the company’s competitive position.
  • Negotiate and award multi-faceted packages to eliminate excess cost as well as legal and financial risk.
  • Conduct yourself in accordance with Horwitz core values: Safe, Accountable, Professional, Motivated, Can Do and Curious.

WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR:

  • Strong Excel skills
  • Ability to communicate and negotiate respectfully and professionally
  • Willingness to represent Horwitz on a daily manner in positive way
  • Travel anticipated at or below 10%

WHAT WE'D LIKE:

  • Bachelor's Degree in business or computer science.
  • Exhibit strong leadership and problem solving skills.
  • 2 years experience with Enterprise Resource Planning programs and tools.
  • Comfortable generating benefit analysis with recommendation(s).

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:

This role is office based in nature but may require visits to where work is being completed or products are being made. Ability to adhere to with construction safety best practices, active site awareness and proper PPE is required.
