JOB DESCRIPTION:

As a part of the FP&A team, you will play a critical role in ensuring the financial integrity of the business through sound fundamentals in financial forecasting, planning, reporting and investment analysis. The Senior Financial Analyst is responsible for maintaining the financial model during forecasting and planning cycles for their business, as well as variance reporting for business and industry drivers. This role provides an opportunity to be a leader within a collaborative cross functional team with high visibility and impact.

This role will be responsible for the Private Label Nuts business within the Snack Nuts portfolio, in addition to supporting the Planters, Corn Nuts and the broader Snacking & Entertaining business.

This position reports to the Finance Manager – Retail FP&A

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintains the financial model inputs for their respective business during the ongoing forecasting and planning cycles for P&L financial statements. 
  • Coordinates and collaborates with cross functional teams such as Marketing, Revenue Growth Management, Sales, and Analytics to align on economic trends, business drivers and industry factors that impact financial modeling.
  • Identifies and communicates risks and opportunities for their business segments.
  • Provide monthly/quarterly/annual business analysis that identify variances against AOP and forecast.
  • Supports consolidated reporting and analysis within Snacking & Entertaining including, but not limited to, overall financial performance, trend analysis, distressed sales, item maintenance, etc.
  • Responsible for modeling and forecasting commodity costs for all purchased Snack Nuts. Develops and shares reports with internal and external customers. Supports cost updates for Private Label business. 
  • Collaborates with Retail cross-functional team, Foodservice and International segments to support and drive strategic growth initiatives within the Snack Nuts portfolio.
  • Identifies need for analysis and proactively uses internal and external data to uncover insights, leverage analytics, and unlock growth and cost savings opportunities for the organization.
  • Supports the investment in business growth through Capex or Innovation by providing needed inputs to assess and validate opportunities.
  • Performs ad-hoc financial analysis and provides insights for management as requested.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Required

  • Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Economics, or related field
  • 2 years finance or related FP&A experience
  • Strong organizational skills and keen attention to detail
  • Analytical and decision-making skills, including the ability to research and interpret accounting guidance and form recommendations.
  • Advanced Excel modeling and reporting skills
  • Professional verbal and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated pattern of initiative and leadership
  • Intellectual curiosity and resourcefulness
  • Ability to work in a team environment on a variety of complex projects
  • Ability to work across all levels of the organization
  • Must be a Citizen or National of the United States, a lawful, permanent resident, or have authorization to work in the United States.
  • Applicants must not now, or in the future, require sponsorship for an employment visa.

Preferred

  • Advanced Certification
  • 4 years finance or related FP&A experience
  • Familiarity with Circana or related third party consumption and panel data
  • Familiarity with Tableau, QAD, Oracle cloud/SmartView 
  • Experience in Brand Finance, Retail Finance, or Revenue Growth Management within CPG
