Overview:
This Supervisor/Manager will provide oversight and direction for vocational instructors engaged in providing career technical training for Job Corps students, ages, 16 through 24, and ensure departmental programs and standards are met.
Duties:
Helps ensure approved curriculum is being taught. Promotes center-based and work-based learning opportunities for students.
Conducts and documents classroom observations. Recommends the hiring and retention of certified instructors
Ensures the safety, health, and security of students, staff, and property
Helps develop and implements programs to promote attainment of CTT or vocational completions, credentials, and job placement
Prepares and assists with budget in cooperation with management, to ensures an adequate supply of materials is on hand to support training needs
Monitors student progress in the electronic training system provided
Ensures proper records on students’ progress, attendance, etc., are kept by instructors to meet Job Corps credential requirements
Promotes compliance with center’s Standards of Conduct system to recognize and document student behavior
Requirements:
Bachelors Degree preferred or equivalent education and experience. Strong background in training development and mentoring youth. Drivers License required
