QualificationsThe Program Coordinator’s main purpose is to assist in the development of the HIV Prevention and Treatment Services program and to provide outreach into the community, including attending community events, outreaching possible participants, providing education, follow up with participants and support in their testing, PrEP and ensuring all follow up is completed. Qualifications Required
High School Diploma or GED plus 4 years’ experience with medical care (HIV education, prevention and treatment preferred)
Must be at least 21 years of age or older.
If driving while on agency time or on agency business, a valid driver’s license with appropriate liability insurance and approval for liability coverage with HHW’s liability insurance carrier is required.
First Aid, CPR certification.
Must obtain and maintain Fingerprint clearance card and pass a background check.
Proven presentation and facilitating skills with ability to use a variety of teaching methods and adapt to a varied audience.
Knowledge of local communities, resources, and entitlements for various funding sources.
Able to interact effectively with a variety of individuals and groups from varying education, ethnic and socio-economic backgrounds to include listening, sensitivity to the others’ feelings, needs and point of view, tact and courtesy in expressing opinions or ideas, projecting a positive image of the Agency and behavioral health services.
Must be knowledgeable of benefit and entitlements process and community resources available.
Have a Tuberculosis screening test and provide evidence of freedom from infectious tuberculosis prior to providing services.
Willingness to work evenings or weekends to support community events as needed.
