**Security Officer**
**Department:** Security **Location:** Seattle, WA
orizon House is a community of staff and residents connecting and learning together. We are currently looking for a Security Officer to bring a smile and help support our residents in living to their fullest potential. **Our residents love the staff and you can help make a difference for them!**
**Essential Job Duties:**
* Answer phones, screen calls, take messages and transfer incoming calls to the appropriate department or resident.
* Greet, sign-in visitors and guests, and assist residents, vendors and visitors coming into the building, consistent with Horizon House procedures.
* Give directions and respond to questions as needed.
* Respond to emergency situations according to established procedures (Fire Control Panel/Emergency Off Hook).
* Deliver distributions (important notices, bulletins).
* Prepare a daily security report (hourly log) and report security concerns or activity.
* Patrol entire building and inspect and set door tabs according to facility policy. Report suspicious persons or activity to police.
**Secondary Job Duties:**
* Assist residents with packages and deliveries as needed.
* Inspect every fire extinguisher in the building according to facility policy.
* Report maintenance or janitorial problems to janitorial supervisor on duty.
* Drive residents to and from events as requested by the Resident Services Office.
* Escort employees or guests to their cars, and residents to their apartments, when appropriate or necessary.
* Perform other duties as assigned by the Lead Security Officer.
* Test fire doors monthly to ensure that they latch properly in the event of a fire.
* Participate on organizational Quality Improvement Committees as requested

* Wednesday: 11:00pm-7:00am
* Thursday:11:00pm-7:00am
* Friday:11:00pm-7:00am
* Saturday:11:00pm-7:00am
