Summary

Full Time Pre-K Teacher 8:00-4:30m Mulberry Bush Early Learning Program is seeking to hire a highly qualified Full Time Licensed (would consider a non-licensed qualified candidate at this time) Teacher Associate/Teacher/Licensed Teacher 40 hours per week, Full Time, salary paid position, could be year round or school year dependent upon candidate's needs. We would also consider part time, if desired, for highly qualified applicants, who are only interested in working less than a full time position.
Start Date: End of April, Beginning of May 2024 through July 2024 - with potential for more long-term!

Duties

Job Summary:
MATERNITY COVERAGE, could possibly lead to full time work should the candidate be a good fit and we have another opening!
Teacher/Teacher Associate is to lead the Classroom while implementing a rich and equitable learning environment where communication is key. She/He will be responsible for implementing lesson plans and quality care for every child in a developmentally appropriate manner, ensuring opportunities for creative growth while promoting all areas of developmentally appropriate practice including, but not limited to: social-emotional, cognitive, physical and speech/ language skills in a child-centered learning environment, while maintaining state child care licensing regulations, all while having fun and bringing positive energy to the classroom!

Supervisor: The Director is the supervisor for this position. In the classroom the Associate Teacher/Teacher of the classroom will supervise any assistant staff on a daily basis.

Requirements

Qualifications: As stated in the Vermont Child Development Division Regulations:
Teacher/Teacher Associate must be: At least 20 years of age, is a high school graduate of has completed a GED and meets at least one of the following qualifications, along with at least 12 months of experience:

• VT Career Ladder level 3 certificate
• An Associate degree from an accredited college, majoring in Early Childhood Ed, or Human Development, or Elementary Education or Child and Family Services
• A Certificate of Completion from the Registered Child Care Apprenticeship Program
• A Child Care Certificate from the Community College of VT with 12 months experience
• Successful completion of 21 college credits with an early childhood or school-age focus
• Bachelor's Degree a plus!!
