OPTICIAN SALES ASSOCIATE NEEDED in a Growing Optometry Practice

Our family optometric practice in Greenville, SC, is seeking another friendly Optician Sales Associate who is ready to have fun and be a part of a team that has served the community for over 20 years! Our ideal candidate would be someone who wants to build relationships with patients, pays special attention to detail, enjoys working as a team-player and has an eye for the latest trends in eye wear.

As an established eye care provider in Greenville, we pride ourselves on getting to know all of our patients and being active in our community.

Our dynamic optical dispensary offers the latest trends in fashion eyewear to fit every style. If you want to be a valued member of a vibrant team in a close-knit community, then we would love to hear from you!

We are looking for a highly motivated individual with outstanding customer service and sales skills. Candidate must have a genuine interest in helping people, young and old.

You must possess the desire to always go above and beyond with patients’ expectations to offer 5 star service. The right fit for our practice is a professional with great commitment level, team player mentality, outstanding work ethic, prompt, organized and computer / technical savvy.

ABO certification is a plus, however, we will offer training and certification to the right candidate.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to the following :

  • Taking frame and facial measurements and giving advice to patients on lens type, frames, and styling.
  • Interpret and calculate insurance benefits and copays based on insurance eligibility - Prepare work orders for labs
  • Verify, dispense and adjust glasses - Maintain display and inventory of optical merchandise and retail, optical sales floor area and dispensary
  • Apply Fresnel prisms and various forms of filters onto ophthalmic lenses
  • Cross train to help at Front Desk, including but not limited to : Billing, answering phones, making appointments, etc.
