The career opportunity :

The Program Billing Specialist for Hopelink's Transportation programs performs a full range of duties related to contractual requirements for the various Transportation programs at Hopelink.

Maintains and reconciles records, statements, invoices and reports for accounting and auditing functions; maintains accurate information in databases;

research and resolves billing related disputes. Adheres to strict deadlines, demonstrates an optimistic and positive demeanor, and maintains a focus on problem solving and process improvements.

Requires intermediate level knowledge of Excel and Access.

  • Demonstrated knowledge of Excel, Access, and SQL a must! (intermediate skills).
  • Ability to build queries, pull data, clean data, and comprehend data flow / management.
  • Field of study or related experience in data analysis, mathematics, business, public administration, accounting preferred.
  • Must possess strong ability with numbers and figures with excellent reconciliation and analytical skills.
  • Strong time management and works well within a deadline driven environment.
  • Detail oriented, with a high level of accountability for accuracy.
  • Ability to communicate effectively, both orally and in writing.
  • Ability to problem solve independently and adapt to changing priorities.

Examples of what you will be doing :

Billing Operations

  • Maintain, produce, reconcile, and audit invoices, billing and financial records, reports and databases.
  • Ensures data accuracy and meets strict deadlines.
  • Reconciles monthly billing invoices with payments made to subcontractors.
  • Responsible for management of gas card / bus pass inventory and distribution which includes data entry, loading funds to ORCA cards, processing ACH requests and monthly inventory counts.
  • Process daily billing files submitted by subcontractors.

Analytics and Reporting

  • Prepare reports and compile data from information system records, using standard and ad hoc queries and reports from Access, Saferide Health, other databases and / or Excel spreadsheets.
  • Update and run queries using Access and other databases to perform data analysis and respond to reporting requirements and for data integrity purposes.

Regulatory and Compliance

  • Establish and maintain files and records using automated and / or manual systems.
  • Performs routine financial and / or process audits to ensure contract compliance.
  • Contract Administration (new or renewals) ensuring contract language is current and consistent.

Process Improvement

Seek to improve and streamline processes and ensure that all are thoroughly documented.

How you will be compensated : Hopelink is proud to provide meaningful paid time away from work and an affordable, comprehensive benefits package.

  • Compensation : $24 - $25 / hour DOE
  • Up to 10 paid vacation and sick days annually and 10 paid holidays,
  • Plus up to 7 paid float days available to use immediately; dependent on hire date and hours / week
