Hope Autism Clinic Director of Diagnostics - Illinois (Statewide) / St. Louis Area
JOB SUMMARY: The Director of Diagnostics provides supervision and training for clinical psychologists and postdoctoral fellows and completes comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations and screenings in accordance with all professional best practices and guidelines. The Director will work closely with all relevant stakeholders to ensure timeliness and efficiency of services for consumers.
Conducts comprehensive autism diagnostic evaluations that include administration of the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition, clinical interview with caregivers, and assessment of cognition and adaptive functioning.
Works closely and collaboratively with the intake, billing, and clinical teams for scheduling, authorizations, and billing related items.
Work is primarily performed in an indoor clinic setting; some monthly travel is required and can fluctuate based on the size and location of the diagnostic team. Position supervisory duties may vary depending on post-doctoral fellow(s).
The Director of Diagnostics must work directly with clients and families in clinic settings; this role may be subject toprolonged periods of sit-down work at a desk and working on a computer as well as prolonged periods of walking, standing, crouching, squatting or kneeling with clients; appropriate engagement with children may require sitting on the floor for extended periods of time. This position and work involve traveling to various work sites as needed; must be able to lift, push, pull and carry a minimum of 50 pounds at a time; requires lifting children and/or adaptive equipment; willingness and ability to make quick body movements.

Ability to maintain valid driver license and drive motor vehicles as needed.
TRAINING, ACADEMIC AND EXPERIENTIAL REQURIEMENTS:
Qualified candidate must possess a minimum of a Ph.D./Psy.D. from an APA-accredited Clinical/Counseling/School Psychology program; active licensed Clinical Psychologist in the state of Illinois and Missouri as well as eligibility for enrollment with insurance companies and Medicaid.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:
Preferred qualifications include at least 3 years prior experience working with children and adolescents with autism spectrum disorder and Developmental Disabilities as well as expertise in the administration and interpretation of psychological evaluations, including the Autism Diagnostic Observation Schedule – 2nd Edition.
