Senior Residential Counselor
Hope For Youth's Residential Services Department provides community based, trauma informed, youth and family driven care to adolescents and young adults in Nassau and Suffolk County. Serving youth from varying points of entry with the child welfare system, juvenile justice system, and runaway and homeless youth/young adults, the opportunities to alter the trajectory for youth in need are abundant. Youth are supported 24/7 by a team of multi-disciplinary professionals, paraprofessionals, and agency administration that consistently meets standards for accreditation and licensing regulations.
Senior Residential Counselors provide invaluable support to youth during their time with the agency. Although tasks may vary depending on program the Senior Residential Counselor is assigned to, the expectation for providing support to colleagues and youth is consistent. Senior Residential Counselors play a vital role in ongoing coaching and mentoring of residential counselors as well as role modeling of engagement with our youth for residential counselors working alongside them.
To be a successful senior residential counselor you must become able and willing to do the following always:

Schedule
Saturday - Wednesday (3:00PM - 11:00PM), 35 hours per week
