Work hours must be prompt and are from 6:30 AM - 3:30 PM.
Works hours are subject to change with company growth as per management.
Shift starts at 6:30 AM (clock in); grab van keys, inspect vehicle & load breakfast meals.
Load all paper goods needed from inventory notes.
Load all foods/snacks needed from inventory notes.
Deliver routed meals & supplies needed to shelters, where mask and gloves.
Pick up designated donations; weigh and document.
Once returned to kitchen; remove hot boxes from vehicle, sanitize them. Sanitize inside and outside of vehicle with spray sanitizer or wipes.
Take 1st break, 8:30 AM - 8:45 AM.
Load all paper goods needed from inventory notes.
Load all foods/snacks needed from inventory notes.
9:45 AM; load lunch meals. Take daily or weekly inventory while delivering lunch as shelter and or time allows.
Take lunch, 10:00 AM – 11:00 AM
Deliver routed lunch meals to shelters, where mask and gloves.
Once returned to kitchen; remove hot boxes from vehicle, sanitize them. Sanitize inside and outside of vehicle with spray sanitizer or wipes.
Jump into kitchen, wash hands and wear appropriate head wear and aprons.
Start prepping planned (with chef) meals for next day menu; cover prepped food and label items properly.
Communicate with manager, staff, HOH help or volunteers to help with production.
Clean dishes & prep tables after production.
Take 2nd break 3:00 PM-3:15 PM
Assist with production as needed per dedicated events and or catering.
Take inventory weekly from connex.
Assist in other duties as assigned, EX: heavy duty cleaning, kitchen appliances, range tops, hood, ovens, trashcans, walk/reach-in freezer & refrigerator, janitorial closet, prep area walls, kitchen doors & walls, hand wash stations, floor drains & covers, floor mats, cleaning the vans, shipping & receiving, picking up random donations or supplies at warehouse, shopping at local stores, delivering supplies at other programs.
Receive any food orders and or donations; weigh and document.
Sort through donated miscellaneous boxes and adjust findings through weekly menu.
Pull frozen foods for defrosting procedure and label items.
Rotate and FIFO food from walk-in refrigerator and freezer.
Refresh kitchen paper goods.
Communicate with HOTV staff with any concerns or comments.
Workday finished 3:30 PM, clock out.
