Job Overview:
We are seeking compassionate individuals to join our team as Direct Support Professionals. As a Direct Support Professional, you will play a crucial role in supporting individuals with developmental disabilities in their daily activities and fostering their independence.
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct care and support to individuals with developmental disabilities
- Assist residents with personal care tasks, including bathing, grooming, and dressing
- Implement individualized care plans and behavioral support plans
- Ensure the safety and well-being of residents at all times
- Assist with meal preparation and medication administration
- Engage residents in meaningful activities and social interactions
- Maintain a clean and organized living environment for residents
Experience:
- Prior experience in a healthcare setting or working with individuals with developmental disabilities is preferred
- Knowledge of nursing home procedures, resident rights, and HIPAA regulations
- Experience in childcare, dementia care, or working with people with developmental disabilities is a plus
- Familiarity with electronic health record systems is beneficial
