Job title: Youth Minister

Location: Hope Lutheran Church; Jordan, MN

Terms: This is a full-time position, with benefits including, pension, medical and paid vacation.

Salary: Up to $50,000 depending on experience.

Requirements: Be available. Ministry with youth, leading worship, helping with tech, and other duties as assigned.

Jesus first! Our focus is on relational ministry. The priority is your relationship with Jesus and all else falls in line with that. The call is complicated as ministry is more than just a job, it’s a lifestyle.

This is a unique opportunity to influence and craft a growing youth ministry from ages 4 through young adult. We're building something special with engaged youth and parent volunteers. Our goals for this position are:

Become the point person for the 4-year-old – 4th grade age ministry and work with the existing volunteers to grow the ministry.

Become the point person for the 5th - 9th grade ministry, and again work with the existing volunteers to grow the ministry.

Develop a high school age ministry.

Assist with leading worship.

Occasional preaching, if applicable.

Responsibilities:

Tend to your own soul business.

Be a Christ-like presence.

Responsible for ministry with 4-year-olds-young adults.

Curriculum development and execution.

Leading retreats and other ministry events.

Other duties as assigned.

Reporting/accountable to Lead Pastor.

Candidate requirements:

Love Jesus.

Love neighbors.

Attend at all ministry events.

Attend all staff meetings/gatherings as well as weekly check-ins with Lead Pastor.

Be a fully engaged and accountable member of the ministry team.

Be committed to the ministry of Hope Lutheran Church.

Youth Ministry or related experience.

Preferred requirements:

Degree in Youth and Family ministry
