Recruitment and Community Outreach Specialist - HHYS

Job Description-Exempt-Full Time

Home office location: Hope Main Campus

ESSENTIAL JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Managing Hope Hill Youth Services social media accounts
  • Assist with fundraising through community outreach
  • Be the point person for Hope Hill’s biggest fundraising events such as the Give the Gift of Hope online auction
  • Be willing to work after normal business hours or on weekends to attend events
  • Create and distribute the company quarterly newsletter
  • Travel between all office locations including Morehead, Hope and Hazard to assist with fundraising events and recruitment of foster parents
  • Attend recruiting/fundraising events in Hazard, Morehead, Mt. Sterling and other areas as assigned
  • Speak publicly to sometimes large groups of individuals in a professional and non-political manner
  • Attend and participate in meetings, committees and trainings as assigned
  • Reach out to local organizations and companies for donations and agency support
  • Create and distribute advertising materials into the community
  • Create and mail out thank you cards/letters to all donors
  • Enter all donations into the Neon system
  • Meet with local DCBS office to increase placements in both Foster Care and Independent Living Programs
  • Other duties as assigned

Education and Experience:

A person employed as Recruitment and Community Outreach Specialist shall possess the following qualifications:

  • Hold a Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Communications or a closely related field. An Associate’s Degree may be considered if they have 2 years of related experience.
  • Must have excellent written and oral communication skills, and be able to speak professionally in a public setting.
  • Ability to maintain positive professional working relationships and to work effectively within a team environment.
  • Be organized, efficient, and able to manage multiple tasks simultaneously with attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Proficient with Microsoft applications, social media platforms and be able to learn and retain how to use new systems quickly.
  • Able to adapt quickly and adjust schedule when changes arise. Must be able to effectively manage their schedule without close supervision.

Physical Requirements:

Prolonged periods of sitting at a desk and working on a computer.

Must be able to lift 15-20 pounds at times.

Must be able to access and navigate each department at the organization's facilities.

Compensation and Benefits:

This is an exempt position that offers a competitive salary. Education and experience are taken into account when making an offer for this position. Mileage will be paid when the candidate utilizes their personal vehicle for travel. Both flex and comp time are offered with the position as several required events will be after normal working hours or on weekends. Hope Hill is also proud to offer medical, dental, vision, short term and long term disability options that are available after 60 days of employment. Other benefits include a monthly cell phone stipend, a weekly work from home day, flexible scheduling, and an employee paid life insurance policy.

This position does not have supervisory responsibilities and reports to the Executive Director.
