Part Time Logistics Assistant

HOPE For All is looking for an individual to join our team of dedicated staff working to improve the lives of people in our community. The Logistics Assistant will be delivering furniture and household goods to clients, picking up donated items, processing purchased furniture, and managing and packing inventory.

Duties & Responsibilities

· Assist in the daily delivery of furniture and household items to our clients in need.

· Assist in the daily pickup of donated items from households and businesses.

· Assist in the processing of all incoming furniture, donated and purchased, to ensure availability for delivery.

· Assist in marking and recording all furniture items in and out of inventory.

· Deliver excess donations to other organizations.

· Perform other duties as needed.

Qualifications

· Valid driver’s license

· Ability to drive a 15-foot box truck (non CDL); must pass DOT physical.

· Ability to lift and carry 50 lbs on a daily basis up multiple flights of stairs if needed.

· Forklift experience a plus, or willingness to be trained.

· Ability to communicate and interact with donors and clients in a friendly and professional manner.

· Ability to work in an organized and efficient manner.

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Motivated to serve the community.

Hours

· Monday through Thursday 8:30 am to 2:30 pm and some Saturdays.

· Additional hours as needed.

Working Conditions

· Furniture warehouse is unheated and not airconditioned.

· Outside deliveries and pickups required.
