Hope Animal Hospital is Hiring a Veterinary Receptionist Near Fredericksburg, VA

We are looking for a compassionate Part-time/ Full time veterinary receptionist to join our team. The ideal candidate will be willing to learn new skills and develop their talents as an receptionist. Must have a passion for caring for animals and able to work in a fast paced environment and provide excellent customer-service as the veterinary receptionist will work directly with animal owners. Overview of Veterinary Receptionist Duties and Responsibilities

  • Cleaning and sanitizing areas of the hospital
  • Ensure exam rooms are cleaned
  • Educate owners about animal health, conditions, and proper care
  • Greeting patients and Owners
  • Weighing animals
  • Checking emails
  • Checking phone messages
  • Making follow up and confirmation calls
  • Answering multiple phone lines
  • Scheduling appointments
  • Processing payments
  • Communicating between clients and staff

Veterinary Receptionist Requirements and Qualifications

  • One year previous experience in animal care
  • Able to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
  • Basic understanding of animal behavior and health care
  • Interpersonal communication skills
  • Ability to prioritize and manage numerous different patient needs
  • Physical ability to restrain larger pets when necessary
  • Able to work weekends (Required), extended hours (Required), and holidays (Required)

Job Type: Full-time

Salary: $12.50 to $16.50/hr. (based on experience)

Job Type: Part-time

Pay: $11.00 - $14.00 per hour

Expected hours: 20 – 26 per week
