Summary

Professional, experienced in sales of truck parts, whose primary responsibility is to assist customers over the phone and in person with the selection of the correct parts based on their needs.

Essential Duties

This position has 2 primary components: (1) assisting walk-in customers, and (2) answering incoming calls and proactively reaching out to current and prospective customers to make sales.

· Assist walk-in customers selecting required parts, ensuring they are informed of companion part requirements and specials

· Answer phones in a timely, professional manner, according to Company established guidelines, and provide quotes and other information

· Solicit assigned accounts by phone

· Provide high level of customer service to internal/external customers

· Maintain organized records of invoices and special-order parts

· Participate in maintaining a lost sales tracking program

· Assist outside sales representatives with their orders

· Assist warehouse by restocking and pulling parts as necessary

· Pull and fill orders from stock

· Receive payment from customers or obtain credit authorization, and ensure all charge sales are signed by the customer

· Issue credit for parts returned

· Replenish assigned inventory daily

· Set up orders for daily shipment, delivery, or pick-up

· Keep front counter area clean and uncluttered

· Participate in training programs as required

Education and/or Experience

· High school diploma, GED or equivalent

· One year of previous parts sales experience in the heavy-duty transportation industry

· Competent in the use of a computers (i.e.: MS Office and email), as well as working knowledge of the dealer software - CDK

Language Skills

· Bi-lingual in Spanish preferred

Certificates, Licenses, Registrations

· Forklift certification preferred

· Valid driver’s license, in good standing

Other

· Ability to lift/carry up to 75 pounds 

· Work overtime as necessary

· Reliable in attendance, and demonstrating a professional demeanor and appearance as well as excellent customer service skills
