Hoover Energy Services is Hiring a Measurement Technician II, III (Rotation) Near ARTESIA, NM

Hoover Energy Services LLC has an opening for a Rotational Measurement Technicians II, and III to expand our efforts in the fast paced, and growing oil and gas market in the Permian Basin of West Texas and South-East New Mexico. The candidate will be responsible for programming automation and controls systems involving PLC's, HMI's and RTU's in an oil and gas field or plant setting, as well as interfacing and communicating with customers on project work. Candidate would work with customers to identify desired automation and controls functionality and then deliver such programming. This would include designing, planning, managing, installing, performing start-up, commissioning and related documentation of such automation and control systems. Other duties may include instrumentation calibrations, loop tuning, troubleshooting, communication installations, and SCADA integration.
The ideal candidate would be a self-starter, reliable, demonstrate a desire to learn and is capable of adapting quickly across job functions and responsibilities. Projects include well-pad installations, commissioning, maintenance, trouble-shooting, compressor stations, salt-water disposals (SWD's), and plants. We are looking for a candidate that wants to grow and advance within our business and is passionate about learning.
Ideal candidate would have experience in the following:
· Perform installation, calibration, maintenance, and commissioning of instrumentation and automation systems used in the oil and gas industry. (Upstream and Mid-Stream)
· Knowledge of EFMs, and communications equipment (ABB TotalFlow, ROC 800, ROC 107, Freewave, Xetawave, MDS radios, and Airlink Modems)
· HMI development and programming (Red Lion, IDEC, Beijer, Maple Systems, and Panel View)
· PLC Programming (Idec, Allen Bradley, Siemens)
· Knowledge of SCADA and remote communications.
· Knowledge of Modbus communication protocols.
· Knowledge of instrumentation, electronic, and measurement systems (transmitters, sensors, operator interfaces, variable frequency drives, pumps, LACT units, motors, motor controls, orifice meters, coriolis meters, turbine meters, mag meters, switches, relays, solar panels, and power supplies)
· Knowledge of API and AGA measurement standards.
· Understanding of measurement principles and how measurement devices work.
· Knowledge of AC and DC electrical systems and how to properly wire devices to make them work correctly.
· Ability to work in a team environment or alone with minimal supervision.
· Be able to communicate verbally and in writing to other team members, as well as customers.
· Good knowledge of Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, Outlook)
· Be able to pass a physical and drug screen including random drug screening.
· Must have a clean driving record
