Previous dental experience is a big plus, ortho experience is a bigger plus, and Cloud9 software experience is the biggest plus! Position Overview:

As an Orthodontic Assistant with cross-training in both front desk and clinical duties, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our practice across various locations. Your versatile skills will create a seamless experience for our patients, from their initial interaction at the front desk to their treatment in the clinical area. Your willingness to commute to different locations demonstrates your dedication to serving our diverse patient base.

General Responsibilities Include:

Front Desk

  • Greet and check-in patients with a warm and welcoming demeanor
  • Answer phone calls, schedule appointments, and assist with appointment reminders
  • Verify insurance information and help patients with paperwork and billing inquiries
  • Collaborate with the clinical team to maintain a well-organized schedule

Clinical

  • Provide chair-side assistance to the orthodontist during treatment
  • Clearly communicate patient needs/concerns with the orthodontist
  • Notate patient charting and clinical notes
  • Perform various laboratory duties
  • Other duties as assigned
  • Prepare clinic and sterilize instruments for procedures
  • Take X-rays, scans, and maintain accurate patient records
  • Educate patients about proper oral hygiene and care instructions

Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent; formal orthodontic assisting training is a plus!
  • Previous experience as an orthodontic assistant is preferred but not mandatory.
  • Proficiency in dental terminology and basic computer skills.
  • Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.
  • Strong organizational abilities and attention to detail.
  • Willingness to commute to different practice locations as needed.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced and team-oriented environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $18.00 - $23.00 per hour
